Suggestions (editted because people are confused)

Journal Entry: Thu May 29, 2008, 10:48 AM
:iconfraulein-ermordung::iconarbokcobra::iconsuperanne::iconveele::icongotquidditch:

EDIT:

This is NOT a journal about commenting, honestly i dont care if people comment or not especially if they have nothing to say, can't speak english well, dont want to repeat things other people have said to death etc etc. What Im personally worried about is losing my charm in drawing and just churning out bland art than people can't really say anything about or relate to.

This is a SUGGESTION journal not a "lol how dare you not comment >8(" journal, calm down guys xD sheesh, I'm blaming myself for my lack of audience not my fans and looking for constructive ways to help myself out of a bland 'safe' art rut.

THEREFORE, im asking:

What can I do with my art to make more interesting?
Is it too boring? (of course it is, it's usually backgroundless furries doing silly expressions)
Should I post some of my school work?
More colors?
Less colors?
Funky perspectives?
Etc?

Right now all im posting are badge commissions, which is honestly all you'll probably get till the end of june when I finish them all up but after that what would you all like to see? I know badges are boring but I figured I'd share them anyone so my account doesn't die off :3.
But anywho
This isn't a request journal, it's a suggestion journal, I may or may not take the advice given, its just to brainstorm. Don't suggest things like "draw more fanart" because Im not looking for popularity here, just ways to spice up my art.

Comments such as "your art is perfect!" are fine and great but still, even if you DO think it is there's probably stuff you'd like to see in my style so you should still suggest :>. Once again though this is NOT a REQUEST journal, i dont want to see 5 billion links to OC's saying they'd look cool in my style. That's what commissions are for.

Im also doing this because im in a rut artistically, not artblock but a rut. Im trying to come back to detailed cartoony after doing about a year of realism in college and it's pretty hard actually.

I'm just lazy and/or I just don't think a comment just saing "Cute!""Cool!" and so on is good enough as a comment on your pictures and others.... If that makes any sence... XP

:iconpoofypajamapants:
Well, it's just that people find it interesting, but... there's nothing much to comment on. They don't find anything to critique, or something that they can relate to... and nothing is quite popping out, despite that they like it enough to fav it.

It's just the type of picture, I guess. There's not much to say about a badge o.o

Y'know what you should do? Just do what you feel is best. >:( ...But y'know. You should post some of your school stuff. That'll be cool.

Arbok your art is amazeing, but alot of those 2000+ watchers are also watching alot of other people, and they are mostly too lazy to comment

you also have art appreciators who only like to look at these things.

theres alot of factors, I just put up Hypnotic which got 22 views in 1 minute, not 1 comment just 3 faves, it just works out like that and it sucks :(

Your use of color is what grabs me - always connotative of mood and setting with proper focus. I suppose dynamic poses could "spice" things up, and as annoying as they surely are, a background couldn't hurt.... But, if you're really out for relevant comments, try focusing on one artistic element per piece - line, shape, form, color, value, texture, space. Having one trait concentrated upon lends to an all around explosive feel, one bound to decoct some words from people.

At least I would hope so. :D

Hmmm, maybe if you tried doing some crazy action scenes, or perspectives. You watch :iconzeroxtb: ,right? I usually look up his stuff whenever I want to try out some dynamic poses.
