Where is the best place to hide/chill when the zombie apocalypse BEGINS?

Serious question, fun... but serious. BE CREATIVE.

The library. Usually they are reinforced when closed. They are lots of them in the city. Books maybe useful for building stuff and entertainment. They have computers and my library has a generator. Usually close to supermarkets and schools... What else do you need?

well if there is one Im going to hide in my attic...
its a good safe place.

as for others well, a bank or a school would be a good place to escape from the zombies

I'd say head as far north as possible before settling down, Better yet, move up there beforehand. I live in pretty northern canada so I think it's quite safe, not a huge population either up here and in canada in general so its safe in that aspect to, anyways as far as hiding out goes.. If you're north i'd just stay in your own home :S People will flock to big large places most people wouldnt stay in their homes the zombies will follow the people and if they're all leaving their homes then you're gonna be left behind if you stfu and be queit and lay extremely low for like a week haha..

if zombies were to happen they'd be pretty slow because dead bodies harden and shit, granted the people who JUST died would be a little bit faster, normal speed like us but still North.. the cold would slow them down considerably.

attic or a rooftop. top nonos would be hospitals, police stations, and god save the souls that say "basement"

1)Shopping : you have food, weapons, tools, etc but you should close everything because the glass door is too weak plus shopping use to have a lot of enters.

2)Underground : block it well and you will survive but...if you don´t have enough food or something to spend time you will get insine...

3)Antartida : the place is so damn cold that the zombies will get frozen

There are lots of places. Inner-city schools/shops are good because they usually have decent protection, such as barred(actual bars!) windows and/or steel covers over store fronts. Prisons are a good choice if they're old style, high walls, lots of gates, etc. These places, with proper supplies, trained(on-the-spot included) personel, and a clear and always alert head, these places are surprisingly secure. Of course there is the prisoner problem, so they're a 50/50, but if you got no where else, head there.

Police stations, esp. inner-city ones, hospitals, and obvious government buildings(city halls, courts, etc.) should be avoided AT ALL COSTS! That's because during a Zombie outbreak(applocalypse), these places become centers of chaos...your just as likely to get killed by humans as by zombies, plus your at a far higher risk of getting infected in these places.

Choose a place, if not for protection, then for isolation. If you can get both, you've got the top 10(or better) best places to hide, period. To quote from a book called "THE ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE: COMPLETE PROTECTION FROM THE LIVING DEAD" by Max Brooks, Lesson #9 from the Top 10 Lessons(on back cover of book): "No place is safe, only safer." Also: "Use your head: cut off theirs"(Lesson 3).

To sum up, I quote lesson 2: "They feel no fear, why should you?"

They can't swim, but what if they sink? Eh, eh?
